Meet Pam Nikolai
Pam is a Senior Visual & Web Creator at Exclamation Services, a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO). She has a variety of clients (credit unions, small businesses, & non-profits) doing a variety of design work, such as logos, digital ads, website redesigns, and everything in between. Pam has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture and Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design from UW-Stevens Point. When she moved to Marshfield in 2006, she worked with Figi’s as an eCommerce Graphic & Web Designer, until they closed in 2019.
Pam started her love of community and art at a young age, taking classes, volunteering, interning, and working for Appleton Art Center (now Trout Museum of Art) in Appleton, WI for around 15 years. Then the opportunity at Figi’s in Marshfield opened up in 2006 that allowed her to focus more on her graphic design degree.
Shortly after moving to Marshfield, Pam got involved with Wildwood Zoological Society and soon after was nominated President of the board. She worked to strengthen the relationship between zoo staff, zoo society, and City of Marshfield, as she planned and coordinated all the zoo’s events throughout the years. Pam also worked with the City of Marshfield, Marshfield Area Community Foundation, and many key people in the community as she focused on implementing the long-awaited bear exhibit at Wildwood Zoo. As part of her efforts, she developed a capital campaign proposal, provided graphic design services for all the fundraising materials, aided in the design of the exhibit, and shared progress with the public on Wildwood Zoo’s Facebook page. Pam, though no longer on the board, is still heavily involved with the Zoo, working with the Zookeepers to plan & run events, and creating larger themed enrichment for the animals. Her art skills have come in handy to design and build amusing enrichment displays that are fun for the animals as they are for zoo visitors.
Beyond the Zoo, Pam stays active in the community by volunteering with other organizations, such as United Way NOW Packing and getting out to support local events at Wenzel Family Plaza, small business music nights, a variety of events in Stevens Point, and more! When not working or volunteering, Pam enjoys spending time snuggled up with her cat, being outside, going for motorcycle rides, pet sitting, and taking roadtrips throughout Wisconsin and across the United States.
