The Marshfield Area Community Foundation implemented a grant cycle for 2023. Applications were open for the first three weeks in January. We had a total of 14 grant applications. Four of those applications were funded by donor advised or field of interest funds. We introduced this concept so our fund holders could have an opportunity to support emerging needs which were of interest to them. This also allowed the community grants program to have more money available to give out in community grants. It proved to be a win-win for all. Our grants committee awarded almost $14,000 in grants. Examples of grants include Village of Spencer – Pickleball Project; Neillsville Improvement Corp. – Rails to Trails Project; Marshfield Heritage Museum – Leadership Marshfield Project; and Junior Achievement of Wood County. We will have our second grant cycle starting on August 1, 2023. There is still over $44,000 available in grant money for 2023! We have a new sandwich board available for display at your event if grant dollars were provided. Thank you for supporting our mission of Connecting People Who Care with Causes that Matter.
